As a child growing up in France, I wanted to be a physical education teacher, but I was also very interested in art. I was a curious kid, interested in everything, and I needed challenges. After getting my undergraduate degree in Sport Science, I obtained a PhD in Cognitive Psychology 6 years later. After working as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, CA, I decided to quit the research world and dive into photography. I believe that art, especially photography, was a missing component in my life and is my way to actively contribute to society.
Pretty shy and independent, I like working on my own so I mostly work as my own model in most of my series. I find a real satisfaction in using myself to explore different societal issues like violence against women, women's roles, and gender identity issues.
